Sound Mind Associates is sensitive to the pressures facing LGBTQ individuals living in a society that grapples with full acceptance. While there is growing acceptance of people loving who they choose, prejudice continues to impact the daily lives of LGBTQ individuals in the public setting, as well as acceptance issues within the personal confines of their families adversely impacting mental health and well being. Sound Mind seeks to aid LGBTQ persons in processing the various facets of life and how their decision to either “come out” or remain private about their sexual orientation impacts every facet.
